"2022 hat Betterov mit »OLYMPIA« ein allseits be-klatschtes Top-5-Album veröffentlicht, die im Oktober 2023 nachgeschobene Erweiterung »OLYMPIA (Ehrenrunde Deluxe)« neuer Stücke und Gastbeiträgen von Paula Hartmann, Blumengarten und Provinz, hat Betterov über die deutsche Indiepop-Szene hinaus bekannt gemacht. 2022 hat er den Preis für Popkultur gewonnen, bei Late Night Berlin, Inas Nacht und Studio Schmitt gespielt und den prall gefüllten Festivalsommer mit einer ausverkauften Headliner-Tour gekrönt. Danach wurde es im öffentlichen Raum einige Zeit still, während in seinem Zimmer derweil der Entschluss wuchs, das eigene Aufwachsen offensiver denn je in den Mittelpunkt eines neuen musikalischen Großprojekts zu stellen. Am Ende dieser Reise steht nun ein neues, zweites Album, das sich deutlich konzentrierter anfühlt als sein Vorgänger. Einmal mehr hat Betterov die neuen Lieder in Zusammenarbeit mit Produzent Tim Tautorat aufgenommen - immerhin hat dieser seinen Sound bereits von Beginn an entscheidend mitgeprägt.
Vor dem Release des nächsten Albums präsentiert Betterov sich 2025 Solo am Klavier an besonderen Orten - natürlich mit dem ein oder anderen neuen Song im Gepäck. In 2026 steht dann eine umfangreiche GSA-Tour auf dem Spielplan - und natürlich wird es noch mehr neue Musik zu hören geben."

"In 2022, Betterov released “OLYMPIA”, a universally acclaimed top 5 album, followed in October 2023 by the extension “OLYMPIA (Ehrenrunde Deluxe)” with new tracks and guest contributions from Paula Hartmann, Blumengarten and Provinz, which made Betterov famous beyond the German indie pop scene. In 2022, he won the Prize for Pop Culture, played at Late Night Berlin, Inas Nacht and Studio Schmitt and topped off a packed festival summer with a sold-out headlining tour. After that, things went quiet in the public sphere for a while, while in his room the decision grew to place his own upbringing more offensively than ever at the center of a new large-scale musical project. At the end of this journey is now a new, second album that feels much more concentrated than its predecessor. Once again, Betterov has recorded the new songs in collaboration with producer Tim Tautorat - after all, he has had a decisive influence on his sound from the very beginning.
Before the release of the next album, Betterov will be performing solo on the piano at special venues in 2025 - with one or two new songs in his luggage, of course. An extensive GSA tour is then scheduled for 2026 - and of course there will be even more new music to listen to"
