Geboren 1979 im Ruhrgebiet, lebt und arbeitet der Künstler heute in Hamburg. Zuvor hat er mehrere Jahre in den Metropolen Wien und Berlin gelebt, die seine künstlerische Perspektive nachhaltig prägten. Seine abstrakte Kunst entsteht mit Acryl, Öl und Leuchtpigmenten auf Leinwand und Holz. Steffen Dietz bevorzugt großformatige Werke, die er mit Spachtel, Pinsel und seinen Händen bearbeitet. In Kombination mit Wasser und Schwerkraft erzeugt der Künstler eine besondere Textur, die die jeweils ausgewählte Farbkomposition in ein harmonisches Gesamtbild bringt. Seine Kompositionen entstehen stets intuitiv und ohne feste Regeln. Seine Werke sollen Räume mit Atmosphäre füllen und immer auch einen zusätzlichen Raum für den Betrachter schaffen - für ein Gefühl oder eine eigene Interpretation.

"Born in 1979 in the Ruhr area, the artist now lives and works in Hamburg. He previously lived for several years in the metropolises of Vienna and Berlin, which had a lasting influence on his artistic perspective. His abstract art is created using acrylic, oil and fluorescent pigments on canvas and wood. Steffen Dietz prefers large-format works, which he creates with palette knife, brush and his hands. In combination with water and gravity, the artist creates a special texture that brings the selected color composition into a harmonious overall picture. His compositions are always created intuitively and without fixed rules. His works are intended to fill rooms with atmosphere and always create additional space for the viewer - for a feeling or their own interpretation."
